Each unique colour has been hand felted and sewn and bought fairly at an ethical price allowing a good salary to the artisan Antonio who produces these in Guatemala.

Each hat is unique and takes a long time to make so these are likely to be a one off for us… they cannot be mass produced and are a special product. There is no marked sizing, but we have never found sizing to be an issue. They seem to be comfortable for all heads!

Dr Zhivago Woollen Hats

Hand made and swen with the finest wool and cotton lined, these warm winter hats are of the finest quality and always bring compliments when you wear them out! For both men and women they are extremely warm and well made offering full protection from the coldest winds without being itchy as woollen hats can be due to their cotton lining.

Handmade Australian Style Wool Hats

Handmade in Ecuador, these ethically produced and stylish hats are made of 100% Andean wool. They are made by hand, pressed and fabricated in Carlos’s workshop in the highlands of Ecuador.
This particular style is called ‘The Australian’, it is a unisex hat and can be worn as a formal hat for events and weddings and also as a more stylish boho style festival hat.

Carlos together with his family, make high quality hats in the highlands of Ecuador. His mother (pictured right) started the business and now as a family they make a range of top quality hat styles by hand, employing a small team in their friendly workshop.
